Our current Administrative Assistant, Charlotte Mims, is stepping down after nearly four years of service to pursue her real estate career full time. She has served us faithfully, and we are so excited about this new chapter for her! Now, as our church experiences continued growth and embarks on a building project, we are looking for someone to step into this important role. Job Description

OBJECTIVE: To further the disciple-making mission of Grace Fellowship Church by providing administrative support

Reports to: Kevin Corley, Pastor 

Hours: 12 hours per week | Monday-Thursday, 9am-Noon

Qualifications: 

  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a member in good standing of a Bible-believing church
  • Impeccable character, integrity, and a genuine love for people
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented problem solver 
  • Self-motivated with a teachable spirit
  • Wisdom and discretion, especially regarding sensitive pastoral situations and financial records
  • Computer proficient, especially with Microsoft Office 
  • Office management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping preferred 
  • High school graduate with a valid driver's license 

Primary Responsibilities: General Administration 

  • Provide a friendly, welcoming face to all who enter the church office
  • Manage all papers, documents, contacts, and accounts in a file system (physical and digital) 
  • Organize and monitor inventory of church and office supplies, placing orders, and re-stocking as needed 
  • Maintain contact lists and membership roll in conjunction with church leadership
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled leadership meetings
  • Run errands as needed 

Primary Responsibilities: Calendar and Communication

  • Answer incoming calls, record messages, and update voice recordings as needed
  • Monitor and respond to email and social media communication
  • Monitor and update church website as directed
  • Produce church publications (i.e. - bulletins, letters, mailers, etc.) 
  • Keep and update church calendar for planning and facility use
  • Collaborate with staff and ministry teams to organize and promote events

Primary Responsibilities: Financial

  • Work with bookkeeper on contributions, budgeting, and financial reports
  • Record and track giving in conjunction with Deacons 
  • Manage church finances by paying bills, missionaries, etc. 
  • Assist deacons with benevolence requests
