2021 Summer Schedule
A Chance To Get Plugged In
Over the last year and a half we have seen God lead a number of families to join or start visiting our church. Unfortunately, the pandemic meant that our opportunities to get to know one another were somewhat limited. Whether you have been here for a few weeks or a few years, we are excited to offer a number of different avenues for you to deepen your relationships, both with Jesus and with other people in the church this summer. Here are the different ways you can get involved:
There is no better place to get to know one another than around a table full of food. So how does this program work? We have families in our church that have volunteered to be host homes for four nights over the summer. As people sign up to participate, they, along with at least one other family, will be assigned to a different host home for each of the nights they register for. On the week of you will be contacted by your host home to discuss the details for dinner. Then all you have to do is show up, bring what you said you would bring, and get to know the folks around the table. By the time summer is over, our goal is for you to have dinner with at least 8 new families and have some good food in the process. To participate, all you need to do is sign up here and we will handle the rest.
The men will be meeting in the sanctuary on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. to fellowship, study, and pray together. This will be led by one of our elders, Steve Tipton. The dates for this study are June 2, 9, 16, 23, and July 7, 14, 21, & 28. If you have any questions you can email our pastor, Kevin, at email@example.com.
Our ladies will be meeting to study the book of James together using video sessions from this year's Gospel Coalition Women's Conference. This will be a rich study that you don't want to miss. It will meet every Monday night at the Corley Home from 7-8:30, starting on June 7. For more information email our church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Youth Summer Kick-Off
Our students will be meeting at GameZone here in Clanton to play laser tag on Wednesday, May 26, from 6-8 p.m. This will be the event where we officially welcome our incoming seventh graders into the youth group and kick off our summer events. The cost for this event is $12 per person. Dinner will be provided. If you have any questions, email our Pastoral Intern, Zac, at email@example.com.
Our students will be meeting at David and Kelli Smith's home on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. to study the book of James. This study is open to students grades 7-12, including upcoming seventh graders and recent graduates. The dates for this study are June 2, 9, 16, 23, and July 7, 14, 21, & 28.
While it is not required, a resource that may benefit students in this James study can be purchased here.
